Kanye West is known for his real name as well and this is Kanye Omari West. He is an American rapper and singer. He is also a songwriter, a fashion designer and a business entrepreneur. He was born in Atlanta but he was raised in Chicago. He first signed to Roc-a-Fella records in the early 2000’s and he produced a lot of hit singles which included Jay Z and even Alicia Keys. He knew that he had to pursue a solo career as a rapper and he adopted a lot of different styles as well. Some of his styles now are evident on his albums Late Registration and even graduation. He also has an album called My Dark Twisted Fantasy and with this he joined up with Jay Z.  He has very outspoken views on the music industry and even outside of the music industry as well. This has brought him a lot of mainstream attention and he has also been a main source of controversy for the way that he carries himself at award shows.

This can even be seen with the way that he carries himself on social media as well. He has done his best to become a fashion designer and so far he has teamed up with Nike, Louis Vuitton and even APC. He has designed both clothing and footwear and he has the YEEZY collection with ADIDAS. In the year 2014 he went on to marry Kim Kardashian and this brought him a lot of media coverage as well. He has won over 21 Grammy awards and this makes him one of the most recognised and awarded singers of all time. We’ll have to wait and see what Kanye has coming up next to see if his success will continue for the next few years.
