Last night, Marilyn Manson cancelled his show on ‘The Twins Of Evil: The Second Coming Tour’ in Toronto with Rob Zombie last minute due to an “unforeseen illness.”

While fans awaited Manson at the city’s Budweiser stage, an announcer addressed the audience with the news: “Marilyn Manson will not be performing tonight due to an unforeseen illness.” Manson did not comment on why he could not perform, but instead, Zombie continued with his set and did an impromptu version of Manson’s cover of “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)” by The Eurythmics.

“Imagine how good it would sound if we rehearsed!” Zombie joked at the end of the song.

Many fans took to Twitter, upset with the last-minute cancellation.

Due to unforeseen illness, Marilyn Manson will not be performing tonight in Toronto, ON.

If you were in attendance specifically to see Marilyn Manson, your tickets will be available for refund at point of purchase.

Rob Zombie will perform as scheduled.

Everyone is so stupid he was drunk wasted messed up to say the least I was their and his rep said he smells of sickness and another guy said hes wasted he can’t perform I’m sorry but that’s disrespectful to his fans I had a meet and greet and I’m very upset

I hope MM is okay. I still don’t understood why they had the stage all set up and literally waited until his set was due to start. I sold stuff and borrowed money to travel to TO for this show. Been a fan for about 22 years. Zombie put on an anazing show.

I’m glad I stayed for Zombie out of curiosity because he put on a good show but def never would have bought tickets in the first place if you weren’t on the bill…

Rip off. You forget people fight through traffic, pay for parking and over priced food while they wait. Then you tell them they have to leave or they get no money back or stay and see one band. You can’t co headline and just offer nothing to fans if you don’t pay. #neveragain

Others noted that he seemed to be “off” at previous shows, but as of now, he is set to perform as scheduled on Saturday in Montreal. Check out the full list of Zombie & Manson tour dates below.
