Nickelodeon’s JoJo Siwa Plots First Live Concert Tour
Singer and dancer JoJo Siwa, known for roles on Dance Moms and various Nickelodeon shows, has announced her first live concert tour.
Produced by Nickelodeon and AEG Presents, D.R.E.A.M. The Tour will kick-off next year, making 25 stops across the U.S. Siwa will begin the trek in Phoenix, Arizona on May 17 and hit cities along the way like Denver, Chicago, Baltimore, Hartford, and Charlotte before wrapping-up in Austin, Texas on June 26.
“I’m so excited to see my fans and to perform my music live,” Siwa said in a statement. “It’s going to be amazing and epic, and I have so many surprises in store for everyone. Thank you so much Nickelodeon and AEG for helping this dream come true. This is going to be the best tour ever!”
In addition to the tour, Nickelodeon will release Siwa’s first EP, D.R.E.A.M. The Music on November 16. The EP includes new tracks “D.R.E.A.M.,” “My Story,” “Everyday Popstars,” and “Only Getting Better.” This past weekend, Siwa released a music video for “D.R.E.A.M,” which has already garnered nearly 3 million views on YouTube.
Siwa, now 15-years-old, first gained attention after auditioning for Abby Lee Miller’s Ultimate Dance Competition in 2013, and again in 2015 after joining Miller’s ALDC dance competition team. She appeared on two seasons of the Lifetime reality show Dance Moms and was known for her hip-hop skills. After leaving the team, Siwa released her debut song “Boomerang,” which went rival for addressing online bullying.
Aside from singing and dancing, Siwa has been featured on Nickelodeon shows Make It Pop, The Thundermans, Lip Sync Battle Shorties, and School of Rock. She has also won Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards for Favorite Viral Music Artist and Favorite Musical YouTube Creator. Her YouTube channel has over eight million subscribers.
Known as a breath of fresh air and positive spirit, Siwa can always be spotted by her unique fashion choices, which includes large, colorful bows in her side-ponytail, and glitter-adorned outfits.
