Country’s Old Dominion had to postpone upcoming shows in Cedar Rapids, Windsor, and Ft. Wayne since frontman Matthew Ramsey has been facing some medical issues.

Windsor, Ontario’s February 14 show is pushed back to June 13, the Cedar Rapids Show on February 15 has been moved to March 31, and the Ft. Wayne, Indiana gig on February 16 was postponed to May 2. Although he did not specify what exactly is wrong, he said has been dealing with an injury recently that may require surgery to fix.

“Postponing concert dates was not the way I planned on starting 2019 but unfortunately the truth is that I’ve been playing with an injury for some time now (you may have noticed less pictures being posted of me flying through the air recently!)” he said in a statement. “Unfortunately, the only way I can get back to the old me is to fix some things surgically.

“I want to be able to put on the best show I possibly can for you all and, in order to do that, I’ve got to take care of myself. I thank you all in advance for understanding, and I look forward to making a full recovery so that we all rock together. See you soon!”

Old Dominion’s Make It Sweet Tour will still kick-off on January 18 in Rosemont, Illinois, followed by shows in Arizona, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Florida, Nebraska, and Nevada, among others. The tour will wrap up late September, and along the way, the band will hit a slew of festivals like the Washington County Fair in Oregon, Canada’s Dauphin Countryfest, and Virginia Beach’s Patriotic Festival.

The tour follows Old Dominion’s release of Make It Sweet, their third studio album, dropping this year. The LP will feature the title track, following 2017’s Happy Endings, as well as their 2015 debut Meat and Candy.
