The AEG-owned ticketing platform AXS revealed its integration with PayPal as its official digital payments provider for tickets sold on the site in the U.S. and U.K.

Fans will now have the ability to enter their PayPal account information when purchasing tickets through AXS and can receive payments through PayPal when reselling on the AXS Marketplace. Additionally, U.S. fans can use Venmo for ticket purchases.

Senior Vice President of Marketing and Digital Media at AXS, Ashish Kapur, said that fans expect a “secure payment experience” when purchasing tickets through their marketplace, so their decision to integrate PayPal was “an obvious choice.”

“Our ticketing platform combines standard and resale tickets so that no event is ever sold out for a fan who wants to attend,” Kapur said in a press release. “Now, with the integration of PayPal, the entire event experience is even more seamless, and we look forward to working with them as we continue to innovate the ticketing process.”

The payment service will also integrate with AXS Mobile ID, a technology which allows fans to buy tickets and gain entry into events through their mobile phones. Instead of using paper or PDF tickets, fans can now use the platform through an app.
