Global ticketing platform Eventbrite has been named the official ticketing partner of this year’s Vivid Sydney, Australia’s largest festival of light, music, and ideas.

Vivid Sydney, which runs from May 24 to June 15, will include various program activities. Vivid Light, which includes an illumination of Sydney’s skyline from at 6 p.m. each evening, will feature 50 light installations to light up the city throughout the event. Additionally, a “cutting-edge contemporary music program,” set to include local and international acts, will be a part of Vivid Music, and 23-days of workshops and industry forums will take place through Vivid Ideas.

“Vivid Sydney is not only the largest event in Australia but it is also one of the most-loved, and we know that guests are inspired by the artists, installations, performances, discussions and ideas that are showcased over the 23 days of the event,” Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer and Vivid Sydney Executive Producer Sandra Chipchase said in a statement, explaining that the festival would “delight attendees” again this year.

Eventbrite will become the primary ticketing agent for all events; some of the notable programs include the Game Changer Series: Spike Lee on Films, Politics and Race, and the documentary discussion and viewing session of Stories With Impact: Backtrack Boys.

General Manager at Eventbrite Asia Pacific, Phil Silverstone, said that the company is “thrilled” to see two innovative brands come together and “set the benchmark in world-class creativity and innovation.”

“This is a landmark partnership for Eventbrite in Australia, and we look forward to working closely with Vivid Sydney to provide an outstanding experience to the many local and international guests set to enjoy this year’s festival,” Silverstone said in a release.

Chipchase noted that the partnership with Eventbrite is exciting for the festival and will “make it simple for guests to plan their Vivid Sydney experience.”

Festivalgoers can purchase tickets and find out more information about the event here.

Eventbrite recently announced its expansion into Asia with a launch in Singapore following the country’s growth in community, education, and food and wine events. Silverstone believes it’s a market that will bring Eventbrite long-term success in the Asia Pacific region since live experiences in Singapore are “deeply woven into the cultural fabric.”
