Ticket Summit Announces Mike Tyson Appearance on July 9
Boxing fans in the ticketing world will have a unique opportunity to meet and grab a photo with former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on Tuesday, July 9 at Ticket Summit, the conference announced in a press release. Tyson, still the record-holder as the youngest boxer to capture the heavyweight title (20 years old), will greet conference attendees at the Bellagio at 2 pm during a break in conference activities.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Mike Tyson, Hall of Fame boxer and longtime Las Vegas fixture, to the Bellagio,” says Allison Simoes, Executive Director of Ticket Summit. “There’s no shortage of huge boxing fans among our attendees, and they will have the rare opportunity to meet a true living legend as a part of our event.”
During his appearance, attendees will have the opportunity to briefly meet and take a photo with the former champ. There is no added cost for this, as it is available to all attendees who have purchased their all-access pass. Registration for the annual ticketing trade show and conference is open through the event, which takes place from Monday, July 8 to Wednesday, July 10. Currently, all access passes are available for $799, with prices scheduled to go up once again later in June.
Born in Brooklyn, New York and once known as “The Baddest Man on the Planet,” Mike Tyson won his first 19 career fights by knockout or stoppage, with 12 coming in the first round. He captured the WBC title in 1986, unifying the heavyweight title for the first time in history by adding the WBC and IBF belts in 1987. All told, Tyson won 50 fights as a professional, 44 by knockout, against six losses.
