Alabama, the classic rock band that has been touring in support of their 50th anniversary, had to cancel the remaining dates on tour due to the lead singer’s illness.

Frontman Randy Owen has reportedly been suffering from complications with migraines and vertigo. While he was hoping to continue on with the tour, his doctors advised him to rest until he fully recovered. The band previously cancelled shows last month in Columbus, Georgia and Bristol, Tennessee after Owen’s doctor advised him to not perform due to his ongoing vertigo and migraines. The remaining dates that have been cancelled include shows in cities like Wilkes-Barre, Bangor, Detroit, Columbia, Indianapolis, and Nashville, among others.

Bass player and vocalist Teddy Gentry explained in a statement that the tour has been “very special to us,” and he appreciates the support and energy of fans during their ongoing trek.

“As disappointed as myself, Randy, and Jeff are to have to postpone this tour for all of our incredible fans, we know that Randy’s recovery is what is most important for everyone at this time,” he said. “We would like to thank our fans, promoters, and venues and we look forward to seeing you all soon.”
