Eventbrite Partners With YouTube in NZ, Australia
The biggest streaming service in Australia, YouTube, has officially teamed up with the live event ticket platform Eventbrite.
Last year, the pair partnered in the U.S. and already 500 venues have sold tickets through the integration, Eventbrite noted in a blog post. Through the partnership, fans can see tickets displayed in real time below music videos on YouTube’s Official Artists Channels – whether they’re in the YouTube app or on a desktop computer. There is no redirection needed — all of the shows are fed automatically to YouTube.
Now, venues and festivals down under will be able to take advantage of the integration. Concertgoers and live event enthusiasts throughout Australia and New Zealand can now find tickets to a show beneath a music video in the “On Tour” section. In order to purchase tickets, just click the “Tickets” button next to the listing and confirm your seats.
Josh McNicol, the Acting General Manager of Eventbrite Asia Pacific, noted in a statement that Australia is “home to so many exciting live music venues, festivals and artists, which is why we’re thrilled to be one of the first markets outside North America to benefit from this partnership.”
“Eventbrite’s integration with YouTube helps connect Aussie music fans with the artists they love at their favourite local venues and makes the discover and purchase of tickets easy – it’s a win-win for venues, artists and fans alike.”
In addition to YouTube, Eventbrite has more than 50 different distribution partners, including Spotify, Instagram, Facebook, and Bandsintown, continuing its global growth.
