Ticketing Veteran Ben Taylor Named GM of Ticketmaster-Owned Front Gate Tickets
Front Gate Tickets, the exchange owned by Ticketmaster, will see longtime employee and ticketing veteran Ben Taylor fill the role of General Manager.
Taylor has been with Front Gate Tickets since 2007; he has helped develop the company by running a mobile box office and printing tickets out of the trunk of his car to handling the successful creations of the music festival department. In the new role, which he will take over for Maura Gibson, Taylor will take over client services, field operations, customer service, fulfillment, IT, and business development. His previous skills with fan engagement, technology for patron and staff safety, and credential management will help him succeed in this role.
Gibson will now move on to an expanded role at Ticketmaster. The Ticketmaster North American president Amy Howe told Billboard in a statement that Gibson’s leadership and expertise “transformed Front Gate tickets into the leading festival ticketing platform.”
“Now, as [Taylor] takes the helm at Front Gate, we’re excited to be broadening [Gibson’s] responsibilities at Ticketmaster with a new role leading a portfolio of company initiatives across the entire organization.”
Previously, Front Gate was owned by AEG and C3 Presents before it was acquired by Ticketmaster in 2015 after its parent company, Live Nation, purchased C3 Presents. The ticketing company has worked with major festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Electric Zoo.
