Los Angeles’ Belasco Theater is the latest nightclub to join Live Nation’s expanding roster as the promoter giant signed a long-term agreement with the venue this week.

The Belasco, which holds 1,300 fans, also includes a ballroom with a capacity of 500, a 200-cap club, speakeasy, restaurant, cafe, VIP arena, patio, and terrace space. The venue is six stories and displays a variety of different details throughout the building, including Churrigueresque, Spanish Renaissance, Moorish, and Gothic. While it was founded in 1904 and completed in 1926, some of the building’s design survived, including the dome ceiling.

In addition to the Belasco, Live Nation’s portfolio includes Los Angeles-based venues like The Wiltern, Hollywood Palladium, Echoplex, Echo, and The Regent Theatre. Ben Weeden, the COO of Live Nation Clubs & Theaters division, said in a statement that Live Nation now has a “premier portfolio of clubs and theaters in Los Angeles, giving an artist the ability to grow from 200 capacity up to 4,000 capacity in a variety of unique and historical venues.”

“The Belasco is a beloved venue, and we’re excited to be able to continue its remarkable history in 2020 and fulfill its modern potential,” Weeden said, noting that “its future is going to be even brighter.”

Already, a handful of artists are set to perform at the club this year, including a special Reggae Fest during Grammy Weekend. Chris Lane, Whiskey Myers, Silverstein, Tech N9NE, and James Arthur are also on the bill.
