Barenaked Ladies Announce ‘Last Summer on Earth’ Tour

The Barenaked Ladies will embark on a massive North American tour this summer for their sixth edition of the “Last Summer on Earth” outing.
St. Augustine, Florida will open up the trek early June, followed by gigs in St. Louis, Indianapolis, Boston, and Raleigh. Along the way, they’ll play outdoor pavilions and stadiums like Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, New York City’s Central Park SummerStage, the Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh, and Cincinnati’s PNC Pavilion before wrapping-up at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto on July 23. Throughout the run, ’90s acts Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket will provide support.
“We’re looking forward to getting back out on the Last Summer On Earth tour,” vocalist/guitarist Ed Robertson said in the announcement. “Having Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket out with us is going to be a blast. That’s a LOT of hits per night!”
This is the rockers’ first round of dates since their joint tour with Hootie & The Blowfish last year and comes just in time for their forthcoming 13th record, due in May. The group last released Fake Nudes in 2017, which followed 2015’s Silverball and Grinning Streak from 2013. They’re best-known for smash-hit tracks like “One Week,” “It’s All Been Done,” and “Falling for the First Time.”
